So recently I’ve gotten into listening to podcasts. I know what you’re thinking….”how does she even have time for that?”. Well, I can say that it is almost impossible for me to sit and listen to a full hour long podcast in 1 sitting so I listen to it in bits. My trick is that I listen to them on my commute to-and-from work in the car, at home, in the shower, and before bed. I don’t know about you all but I actually really enjoy them now. I find them somewhat relaxing but all of that is besides the point. I wanted to share my new found love for podcasts with you all so I will get right into it. Here are the latest podcasts I have been obsessing over lately:
The Skinny Confidential: This podcast is hosted by Lauryn Everts Bosstick and Michael Bosstick. They talk about a wide range of topics including interviews with celebs, entrepreneurs, influencers, experts and thought leaders. They discuss topics on health and wellness, business, branding, marketing, relationships and raw and real insights into their success in social media and being driven entrepreneurs. If you are a veteran blogger or someone just starting out in the blog world, I highly recommend this podcast for great insights on how to succeed.
Hashtag Authentic: Hosted by Sara Tasker, is a weekly podcast exploring the secrets to online success for us dreamers, makers and creatives. She talks about practical social media tips and inspiring stories and guides you through the lessons and strategies she used to grow her 250k+ audience and six-figure business online. She discuses all things Instagram, blogging, social media and beyond. Really another great educative podcast if you’re a blogger trying to grow your own brand online.
Actually Adultish: If you’re a young adult on the struggle bus, this podcast is perfect for you. It is dedicated to all things related to ADULTING – college, relationships, food, health, fitness, dealing with stress, pop culture, internships, careers, and more! The podcast is hosted by Christina Rice, who is the creator of the blog Addicted to Lovely (http://addictedtolovely.com). This is the perfect uplifting mood and comedy podcast. Alot of great topics covered and its nice to know you’re not the only one who hates adulating 🙂
Death, Sex, and Money: If you are looking for a realist podcast, then Death, Sex, and Money is something you should check out. This podcast is about the big questions and hard choices that are often left out of polite conversation and nobody really wants to talk about. It is hosted by Anna Sale and she brings up very interesting subjects about the Big Stuff: relationships, money, family, work and making it all count while we’re here. Definitely a great podcast that makes me feel like a grown up.
Earn Your Happy: Since we are on the topic of self-help and inner inspiration, Lori Harder’s podcast is a great one to get all the inside secrets and tools you need to help you bust through your fears, connect to your soul and get focused and clear so you can elevate your life, business and relationships. Lori does a great job at giving listeners the tools, ideas, and inspiration to take action in their life.
Betch Slapped: Not all podcasts have to be serious. This one is a great comedy podcast hosted by the founders of Betches and comedic authors behind NY Times best-selling books “Nice is Just a Place in France” and “I Had a Nice Time & Other Lies.” In this podcast, you’ll hear them take on everything from celebrity gossip to what you should be watching on TV to actual news that you might give a shit about. They also provide really good advice about love, friendship, and other stuff us millennials can certainly relate to.
AdultSh1t: I am a huge fan of Buzzfeed, so naturally you know I will have to add Kelsey Darragh and Kate Peterman’s podcast onto this list. They give their unfiltered take on life as they know it. From diva cup maintenance to maybe not going home with that guy even though he’s got the whole Eminem 8 mile vibe. If you’re looking for a new-age comedy/realist podcast, then this one is definitely for you!
That’s all I have in terms of favourite podcasts. Are you guys fans of podcast? If so, I would love to hear about your favourite podcasts! Leave your thoughts and comments down below!
