A few weeks back I had posted a blog about my Christian Dior mini lip haul. I was pretty happy with the results of the Creme De Rose lip balm. However, when I went back to purchase a second one, the shiny black and gold advertisements of the Chanel counter caught my eye. As you can probably guess, I never made it to Christian Dior a second time. Be aware of the double C……
Anyways, I ended up buying the Chanel Rouge Coco Baume and CAN I JUST SAY……THIS IS ROYALTY. It is an instant 5 star luxury spa on your lips. It pampers, hydrates, and repairs! What more could you ask for.
The only down side to this amazingly wonderful lip baume is that because the texture is so soft and luxurious, it basically melts away and before you know it you are at the Chanel counter restocking on your lipbalm. Dangerous!
I took this bundle of joy home and the beautiful lustre of the shiny black and gold exterior just called my name. When I tried the lip balm on, it left my lips with a nice but faint shiny finish. It wasn’t sticky or thick but very light and for those of you who prefer non-scented balms THIS IS IT!
Final verdict – The double C lip balm is to die for, however if you are price conscious, this baby will run you about $40 and lasts about 1-2 months depending on user frequency and you should probably stick to the Christian Dior (which I ended up purchasing again) and lasts about 3 months.
